A splendid seven-day ceremony is on the horizon, destined to grace Ayodhya's illustrious Ram temple with the installation of the revered idol of Ram Lalla within its sacred confines. The timing of this momentous occasion appears to align harmoniously with the Hindu festival of Makar Sankranti, poised to commence on either January 14 or 15.
A reliable member of the esteemed Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust disclosed this remarkable information on a Tuesday. This trust, entrusted with the oversight of the temple's construction, has diligently orchestrated its progress since its inception in 2020. Trust members emphatically declared that the idol's installation would unlikely occur during the month of December.
In adherence to the sacred Hindu calendar, December lacks the propitious days required for the installation of such an idol. It is only when Makar Sankranti graces the celestial realm, signifying the Sun's migration from the southern hemisphere to the northern hemisphere, that the auspicious rites may commence. Thus, the most propitious moment to initiate the installation of the revered Ram Lalla idol and commence the accompanying ceremony shall coincide with the forthcoming Makar Sankranti, scheduled for either January 14 or 15. Our esteemed trust member, speaking on condition of anonymity, hinted that the festivities preceding the grand inauguration of the temple might commence with the illustrious Deepotsav celebrations, anticipated to grace November with its radiant glow.
Looking towards January, the trust's esteemed General Secretary, Champat Rai, shared his vision, suggesting that the consecration ceremony, known as Pran Pratishtha, may take place on Makar Sankranti in the year 2024.
In recent times, the trust extended a gracious invitation to the esteemed Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the grand opening ceremony. Alongside the invitation, the trust discreetly proposed three propitious dates for this auspicious event, carefully selected after consulting esteemed astrologers. The finalization of the most opportune date is projected to fall between January 17 and 24, but the specific dates remain confidential, veiled in secrecy by the trust, leaving the media and public in anticipation.
The foundation stone of this majestic temple was laid with utmost reverence during an elaborate ceremony conducted under the watchful gaze of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on August 5, 2020. Thereafter, construction swiftly commenced, overseen by distinguished officials. Recently, the temple's progress underwent a comprehensive review conducted by a skilled team led by Nripendra Misra, Chairman of the Ram Mandir Construction Committee. Accompanying him were diligent members from the esteemed engineering teams of Larsen & Toubro, Tata Consulting Engineers, and, of course, the dedicated members of the trust.
As the days pass, the much-anticipated construction of the temple's first floor, a prominent segment of this three-storeyed marvel, is set to commence by the month's end. Meticulously designed, the temple spans a grandeur of 380 feet in length, 250 feet in width, and towers 161 feet high above the sacred courtyard, serving as a testament to its magnificence.
